What does MBA Lab actually do?
It turns the syllabi you already have into one working schedule, then runs the term around it. You paste or upload each course syllabus, MBA Lab pulls out the deliverables, their due dates, and what each one is worth, and from then on you get a single view of everything due across every course — plus teams, projects, and tasks for the group work, coaching circles for the leadership half of the degree, and a calendar feed so deadlines show up where you already look.
How does syllabus import work?
Paste the schedule and grading sections as text, or upload the syllabus as a PDF or DOCX. MBA Lab reads the dates and weights directly from the document — it handles the shapes real syllabi use, like "Week 4", "Sept 15", "9/15", and "Final case project (20%)". You then see every row it found and confirm, edit, or drop each one. Nothing is saved until you confirm.
Do my classmates have to import the same syllabus again?
No. A course can be shared with your whole section: whoever imported it shares a link, classmates join, and everyone sees the same deliverables. What stays private is yours — which items you've checked off, the scores you record, and all of your projects and tasks. Only a course's stewards can edit the shared list, so one classmate's import becomes everyone's schedule without anyone's copy drifting.
Is MBA Lab free?
Yes. MBA Lab is free to use today and no credit card is required to create an account. The free planning tools and the school directory need no account at all.
Do my teammates need their own accounts?
Yes, for shared work. You invite teammates by email and they sign in with a link sent to that address — there is no password to create or remember. Teams are per course and per term, so a team ends when the term does instead of piling up forever.
What is a coaching circle?
A small peer group — up to five people — that meets on a cadence you choose and works through one structured coaching session at a time, using the GROW format: Goal, Reality, Options, Will. The person being coached rotates each session, commitments carry a real status (kept, slipped, dropped) and roll into the next session, and everything in a circle stays with its members: session notes never appear on This Week or in any email.
Can I see my deadlines in Google Calendar?
Yes. Turn on the calendar feed in settings and you get a private address to subscribe to from Google, Apple, or Outlook calendar. It's a subscription, not a one-time import — when a date changes, your calendar updates in place — and you can regenerate or revoke the address at any time. There's also an optional Sunday email summarizing the week ahead.
Does MBA Lab replace Canvas or Blackboard?
No. Your school's LMS is still where you submit work and where grades live. MBA Lab is the layer your LMS does not give you: one schedule across all of your courses at once, weighted by what each deliverable is actually worth, plus the team coordination that happens outside the LMS entirely.
What happens when a professor changes the syllabus?
Re-import it. MBA Lab compares the new version against what it imported before and shows you what changed, and anything you edited by hand is preserved rather than silently overwritten.
Who is MBA Lab for?
MBA students — full-time, part-time, executive, and online — who are running several courses at once and doing most of their graded work in teams. It was built by an EMBA student for that exact problem.
