Most things people write in about have a quick answer below. If yours isn't here, email us — it's a real inbox, and one person reads it.

Common questions

Start here — these cover most of what comes in.

My sign-in code never arrived

Check spam and promotions first — the code comes from an automated sender, and school inboxes filter those hard. Make sure you used the same address you signed up with; a code sent to an address with a typo goes to that address, not yours.

If there's still nothing after a minute or two, use Resend code on the sign-in page. Every email we send also contains a sign-in link, so if the 6-digit code is awkward to retype you can just click that instead.

It says my code is invalid or expired

Codes last 10 minutes, and asking for a new one immediately retires the old one. If you requested twice, only the newest email works — check you're reading the most recent one. Otherwise request a fresh code and use it straight away.

My syllabus imported, but the dates or assignments look wrong

Syllabi are laid out for people, not parsers — dense tables, merged cells and "Week 3 (see Canvas)" are all normal, and all hard to read reliably. Nothing is final at import: open the course and edit, add, or delete anything that came through wrong.

If a whole section was missed, try importing again from a different source. PDF, Word, and EPUB all work, and so does pasting the schedule straight in as text — which often reads more cleanly than the file it came from.

Someone invited me to a team or course and I can't see it

Invites never join you to anything automatically, even after you sign in — you have to open the invite link and press Join once. Open the original link again and look for that button. If it's expired, ask whoever invited you to send a fresh one.

I want to change or stop the emails

Email preferences live in Settings → Digest, and your calendar feed in Settings → Calendar. Sign-in emails aren't a preference — they only ever go out because someone asked to sign in with your address.

What do you store about me, and how do I delete it?

The Privacy Policy lists what's kept and why. To get a copy of your data or have your account deleted, email us at the address below and say so — that's the whole process.

Still stuck? Email us

There's no ticket form — write to privacy@mbalab.net, the monitored inbox named in our Privacy Policy. Tell us what you were trying to do and what happened instead, and include the reference below so we can find your session in our logs.
